Dear Parishioners,
We hope you have had an enjoyable summer. We had some fun Sundays this summer that many of our families participated in. We had crafts, a children’s sermon, filling backpacks for our underserved youth, and lots of food of course! I know my daughter enjoyed these events and I hope your children did as well!
We are looking forward to another wonderful Sunday School year! We are now in our fifth year of a five year rotating curriculum schedule. We have done two years of Old Testament and two years of New Testament lessons. For our last year we will be focusing on the early church with readings from the epistles, the 12 great feasts of the church, sacraments, and saints! We are excited for a year full of learning and enriching events to help our children grow in their faith and love for God.
As always we welcome anyone who feels called to help in our ministry of teaching our youth. We are currently seeking help in preschool. We also are always looking for subs and teaching assistants in all grades. Experience is not necessary, just love for the Lord and our kids! If you are interested or know someone who would be, please reach out to us. This is a great way to get started in Sunday School, we’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
Important Dates:
- Sunday 8/24 – Sunday School Clean Up Crew. Immediately following the Divine Liturgy
- Sunday 9/7 – First Day of Sunday School! Student registration can be completed that day or beforehand. Our curriculum and registration is on the parish website here.

The start of a new school year is a wonderful time to reset and start anew. We are excited to get started with this year. We hope to see all of our children’s smiling faces at the start of the year, and throughout the calendar year.
