Demosthenes Euclid was born in Astoria, Queens, NY. Having pursued a career in videography and internet marketing, he struck out independently in 2017 with a focus on mini-documentaries, commercial pursuits, and instructional presentations. Having joined the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Rochester community at that time, he partnered with Father Angelo Maggos to develop a new online Communications Ministry to help educate and spread the Good News in the digital frontier. What began as a series of “Greek Orthodoxy 101” edutainment videos expanded to include popular live-stream presentations and community outreach. Today, the Annunciation YouTube channel stands as one of the largest Greek Orthodox channels online.
Mr. Euclid’s other responsibilities as Annunciation’s Communication Director encompasses all aspects of the Church’s digital footprint including the website (which he redesigned and rebooted in 2020), social media moderation, and photo/video archives. He is currently overseeing the Church’s audio/visual upgrades and is developing a comprehensive history of the Annunciation community which recently celebrated its centennial anniversary.
Outside of the Church, his recent local work includes a 6-part behind-the-scenes series for Seabreeze theme park and he is currently in production on a mini-doc focusing the history of the oldest mini-golf course in the United States.
