ATTENTION ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN LEARNING CHANT!

George Rallis, Administration Consultant for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese School of Byzantine Music, has offered to host a Regional Byzantine Chant workshop in Western NY. 

Fr. Christos of Annunciation Buffalo, Fr. David Smith of St Sophia’s Syracuse, Fr James Berends of Holy Spirit Rochester, and other churches of Western NY have arranged for this workshop to be held at our Church of the Annunciation on Saturday, September 28th from 11am – 4pm.

I am encouraging all those interested in learning about our beautiful Byzantine chant tradition to attend. Using this as a foundation to build Byzantine chant in Western NY, Fr Christos and I discussed our two parishes chanting together at the Annunciation Joint Vespers celebration in March 2025, which, this year, will be in Buffalo.
