New Liturgical Year, New Philoptochos Events

Summer flew by, and the new liturgical year is in full swing! Our church calendar is filling up fast — the choir is back, Religious Education has started, Greek school is in session and Philoptochos has many events for our parish to look forward to. Join us in the church hall on Sunday, September 7 after Divine Liturgy for our annual “Mimosas, Mezedes and Membership” event. Bring a dish, enjoy a mimosa and learn about how you can get involved in Philoptochos.

Father Angelo has always emphasized that Orthodoxy is a faith of action, and the beginning of a new liturgical year is the perfect time to engage in philanthropy, fellowship and outreach.

Want to help but not sure how? Signing up for Coffee Hour is a great place to start! It’s an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and practice hospitality, a core spiritual discipline of our Orthodox faith that’s deeply rooted in scripture and tradition. It’s also an important aspect of Greek culture. Talk to Ethel DiGiugno to learn more and sign up. And stay tuned for more upcoming Philoptochos events.
