Join us Saturday, Sept. 30th at 10:00am for an epic hike to Eternal Flame Falls in Orchard Park, NY followed by a late lunch at the Annunciation Family Life Center!
The Eternal Flame Falls is a natural wonder located in Chestnut Ridge Park which features a natural gas fissure behind a waterfall kept aflame all year round! It is truly one of the most unique sites in New York State and a great opportunity to teach of another “eternal flame.”
Our event will be a co-production between the Rochester and Buffalo Greek Orthodox Churches. Father Maggos and our Youth Director will be leading the short, medium level difficulty hike to the falls and back (approx. 2 hours). Afterwards, we will meet at the Annunciation Family Life Center for a late lunch, treats, and reflection before embarking on the return journey home.
This is a weather dependent event. In case of bad weather or excess mud at the site, we will be holding an alternative event here in Rochester.
