Due to our quarantine situation and after discussion with our Parish Council, the decision was made to close the church for this Sunday.
As most of you know, Pres. Teri and I had to travel to Florida over the past two weeks for compassionate leave to help out our parents and since NY State requires we will be in a two-week quarantine after our return this coming Saturday (31 October). This quarantine will last through 14 November.
Although I am allowed to be in the office during the week, I will be unavailable to celebrate Divine Liturgy on 1 and 8 November.
Unfortunately, Fr Jerry is unable to serve Liturgy this Sunday. We do have another two priests available to fill in, Fr John Hutnyan and Fr Demetrios Harper both of which are also unable to fill in this Sunday. However, it seems as if Fr Demetrios will be able to fill in for me on Sunday 8 November.
We will however be live broadcasting a previous Divine Liturgy service this Sunday that will be updated to include this Sunday’s Epistle, Gospel Reading, and Virtual Sunday School video.
This is certainly an unfortunate situation but I am sure that each of you will understand that these measures are in the best interest of all.
In the service of Christ
Fr Angelo
