Jessica Best, one of our parishioners has directed and is starring in Nazareth University Opera’s production of Dialogues of the Carmelites by Francis Poulenc.

Dialogues of the Carmelites premiered in 1957 and is based on a play by George Bernanos.  The play is the story of the Martyrs of Compiègne, Carmelite nuns who, in 1794 during the closing days of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution, were guillotined in Paris for refusing to renounce their vocation.

The performance will be at Glazer Music Performance Center (4245 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14618) on February 2nd & 3rd at 7:30pm and February 4th at 2:00pm.
