Dear Parishioners and Greek School Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 Year! We are so happy to see our classrooms full and students excited to learn Greek!
Our enrollment has significantly grown from the past few years, and we are excited to share that we have 49 students joining us to learn and grow their Greek language skills.
We wanted to take a moment and give a great thanks to our teachers, who come prepared with their learning lessons, teach our children, and create an environment of curiosity, learning and growing. Our teachers this school year are:
Kindergarten: Nia Pike
First Grade: Diana Hristodoulou & Stefani Nassis
Second Grade: Danielle Marou
Third Grade: Georgia Katsetos
Fourth Grade: Kostas Matakos
Fifth & Sixth Grade: Walter Bubie
Seventh Grade: Katina Sekella
We are also excited to share that we will be reviewing our current Greek School program structure, in an effort to evaluate what we can do different in the near future, so that we can create more language and cultural enrichment for our students.
With that said, we would like to hear from our parish, parents, teachers, and anyone who would like to provide feedback for our current Greek School program. A survey is in the process of being designed and will be shared with all of you soon; however, if you would like to reach out through email, you can provide your thoughts and feedback at agreekschool@gmail.com. Once we have completed our program evaluation, a formal 5-year strategy will be created and presented to the parish, with opportunities to ask questions and offer support.
As a reminder, our school day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 12 pm each Saturday. Please arrive and pick-up your children on time. For safety reasons, we do not allow children to exit the building without an adult.
As always, feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to seeing your children’s smiley faces each Saturday!
Ευχαριστούμε,
Maria Dembeyiotis & Elina Kokorotsis
