Church Reopening Sunday, December 20

Annunciation Parishioners,

Based on input from our Metropolis and church opening policies for Catholic Churches in the Rochester area I am pleased to announce the partial reopening of our church to our previous 25% capacity starting this Sunday 20 December.

Unfortunately, we are still not able to resume coffee hour or allow Hall rentals however we are hopeful that soon we can begin to rent our hall.

With the reopening of the church, we will continue all prior COVID protection measures such as:

    1. The entire church being sanitized on a regular (weekly) basis and after each sacrament such as funeral or baptism.
    2. Pews have been marked with tape to indicate which pews can be used and indicates proper social distances. Pews with no tape cannot be used.
    3. The center aisle has been marked in 6-foot increments to ensure proper spacing when receiving Holy Communion.
    4. Narthex personnel continuing to enforce our COVID procedures and ensuring social distancing.
    5. Family members are allowed to sit together but, as a group, must be spaced appropriately from other parishioners.
    6. Masks must be worn at all times during the service whether seated or walking arround.
    7. Baptisms, weddings and funerals can resume as long as attendance does not violate the mandated 25% capacity.
    8. ALL church attendees must have their temperature taken upon entry and we are required by the State to record the name and phone number of everyone who attends in the event tracing must be conducted.
    9. Until further notice, there will be no coffee hour, Sunday school, or Greek school.

Please note that as much as we want you to return to our church to worship we understand and respect your decision to not yet feeling comfortable enough to attend.  And certainly, we ask that if you exhibit any symptoms consistent with COVID to please stay home.

Please refer to our website to refamiliarize yourself with our Annunciation COVID policies.

We are excited to be reopening the church for those who wish to worship.
